What homes in Canyon County usually need.

Every firm we introduce has passed the same seven-point Standard: licensed, insured, references called, and a site visit to finished work.

  • Rural lots run on their own systems. Outside the cities, many homes use a private well and septic system. Septic systems generally need pumping every three to five years, and private wells should be tested every year.
  • Ditches and canals feed the yards. Much of the county’s landscaping is watered by irrigation districts through canals and ditches, on a set season. Sprinkler work follows that calendar.
  • Permits follow the address. Inside city limits, start with the city; outside them, Canyon County. Some smaller cities contract building inspection out, so ask the firm who issues the permit.
