Plumbing in Boise: what to know.
- Galvanized pipe in older homes. Homes in the North End, East End and on the Bench often still have original galvanized supply lines that corrode and restrict flow. Repiping is a common job here.
- Tree roots and old sewer laterals. Mature street trees and older clay or cast-iron sewer lines are a bad mix. A camera inspection is worth it before buying an older home.
- Hard water on fixtures and heaters. Hard water builds scale in water heaters and fixtures, so flushing and a serviced softener extend their life.
What’s included.
Idaho licenses plumbers through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL). We confirm the firm’s license, that the people doing the work hold current plumbing licenses, and its insurance. Then we call three homeowner references and visit a finished job.
